To maintain your Land-Grant Legacy Scholarship, see below for program expectations
for each year within the program.

Before Classes Begin

Be enrolled full-time (13 credits each semester) in a baccalaureate degree program in CFANS

Successfully complete 30 credits per year
To keep you on track for graduation, students are expected to complete 30 credits per year. Transferable college credit (including pre-college credits, dual credit, and/or AP credits) and summer registration credit can be used to meet the annual 30 credit requirement. 

Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Maintain at least a 2.00 GPA

Maintain consecutive term enrollment

Year 1

Year 1

Live on campus in a University residence hall

Participate in monthly LGLS programming
Programming is tailored towards your personal and professional development and may include community building, workshops, guest speakers, or field trips. 

Meet with:

  • LGLS Coordinator (at least twice per semester)
  • CFANS Academic Advisor (once per semester)

Participate in and successfully complete CFAN 1101: Dean’s Engaged Leaders Program (DELP)
As a Land-Grant Legacy Scholar, you are also a part of the Dean’s Engaged Leaders Program (DELP) and will take CFAN 1101: Dean’s Engaged Leaders Seminar during your first year. DELP is a year-long seminar focused on developing your potential as a leader in a multicultural society. DELP is a discussion-heavy class, that also features immersion trips, service learning, and other activities that allow students to reflect on their values and skills. Attend the annual CFANS Giving Thanks for Scholarships dinner
As a scholarship recipient, this evening of fellowship is an opportunity for you to meet fellow recipients and many of the generous people responsible for CFANS scholarships. 

Write annual donor appreciation letter
As a thank you to the generous donors of the LGLS Program, Scholars will be expected to write a donor appreciation letter, or thank you, each year.
